Recessed motorized shades for DFW builders
Builders build, and we shade. We plan with you during framing, set the U-channel before the masonry, and install last as a punch-list item, with one project manager from plans to handoff.

Three stages around your build schedule
Your project manager stays in touch through the build, so each stage lands at the right milestone.
Early coordination and quote
- When
- During planning, ideally before or during framing
- What you see
- We review the plans and layout, coordinate electrical, blocking and recessed tracks, advise on framing the recessed pocket (we advise, and your framer builds it), and quote the project.
U-channel installation
- When
- When the home is ready, before the masonry
- What you see
- We install the U-channel (the recessed tracks) and take final measurements.
Final shade installation
- When
- At the end of the build, as a punch-list item
- What you see
- The shades go in last, so they don't get dirty or damaged during construction. Final installation is typically done in one day, depending on project size.
What working with us looks like
Planning
We review your plans and layout before or during framing, so electrical, blocking and recessed tracks are coordinated early. We also advise on framing the recessed pocket (your framer builds it) and quote the project from the same review.

Specs and mounting details
Every dimension is verified on site before work starts.
Framed access pocket (standard 3-inch tube)
This is our own framing detail for the standard 3-inch tube. Your project manager confirms which products and tube sizes it covers, and every dimension is verified on site.
Dimensions in inches Item Detail Pocket size 7 in wide x 10 in high Access cover Removable, with finish screws along the bottom Gap at the screen exit 2 in Framing shown Header on one side, 2x4 inverted wall on the other Stab hole The tube is 5 1/2 in wider than the finished opening, so the pocket needs an extra 5 1/2 in at one end for installing the tube U-channel on inside-mount recessed installs
On MagnaTrack recessed installs, inside-mount applications require U-channel, and additional charges apply. Your project manager covers it in the quote.
Electrical and controls
Shades can be hardwired so power and wiring are concealed, and plug-in or hardwired is standard. Your project manager provides the electrical requirements for each project and coordinates with your electrician. App control and home-automation integration can be planned, depending on the system selected. Every shade comes with a remote, and solar-powered motors are available for some openings, but not for large ones.
Fabrics and hardware finishes
Fabric options run from bug screens to high-performance solar screens, in multiple openness levels and colors, plus a dim-out option. Housings and tracks are powder-coated aluminum in many standard colors, with custom color matching. Your project manager helps you select the combination.

Homeowner service after handoff
We hand off directly to your homeowner with an orientation, and we stay available for ongoing service and warranty support. That keeps you out of the middle.
Our 10-year warranty covers qualifying defects in shades, motors and system components, plus a lifetime warranty on our installation workmanship, subject to the signed project documents and proper use and maintenance.
What our warranty coversQuestions builders ask
When should motorized shades be planned in the construction timeline?
The earlier we're involved, the better. Ideally, we review plans before or during framing so we can coordinate electrical, blocking, recessed tracks and other details. Our project manager works with your team throughout the build, so the shade system is planned from the start instead of added later.
How does shade installation affect my schedule?
We coordinate around your schedule and work in stages: early coordination, U-channel installation when the home is ready, and final shade installation later in the project. Our project manager stays in communication throughout so the work lands at the right construction milestones. Final shade installation is typically completed in one day, depending on project size.
Do you provide specs and mounting details for builders?
Yes. We provide manufacturer technical information, specifications, mounting details and coordination support. Our project manager can work directly with you, your architect, your electrician and other trades to answer questions and help make sure the shade system is planned correctly.
Can the shades be wired into the home's electrical system?
Yes. Shades can be hardwired so power and wiring are concealed. Our project manager provides the electrical requirements and coordinates with you and your electrician. Systems can also be planned for app control and, depending on the system selected, integration with home automation.
How do you support builders after installation?
We handle service requests quickly, coordinate directly with the homeowner when appropriate, and stand behind our work with our 10-year warranty. That keeps you out of the middle and gives your homeowner a direct path to us for ongoing support.
How does the homeowner handoff work after the home is completed?
We provide a white-glove handoff directly to the homeowner, with an orientation, and we remain available for ongoing service and warranty support. That creates a direct relationship with the homeowner and keeps you out of the middle.
What do you offer builder partners?
We offer preferred builder pricing, but the program is about more than price. It includes white-glove service from planning through installation, a dedicated project manager, a smooth homeowner handoff, and ongoing warranty and service. Pricing can be structured for repeat and multi-home relationships. Our goal is to make it easy for you and exceptional for your homeowner.
Do you offer options for model homes or spec homes?
Yes. We can work with you on model and spec homes to showcase outdoor living upgrades. Details are structured case by case.
What fabrics, finishes and colors are available?
We offer a wide range of screen fabrics, openness levels and performance options, from bug screens to high-performance solar screens. Hardware comes in popular standard colors, and we can custom match hardware color. Our project manager helps you select the right combination for the project.
Why include motorized shades in new homes?
Motorized shades are a high-value outdoor living upgrade that helps differentiate the home and create a more comfortable, usable outdoor space. When they are planned during construction, the system can be integrated cleanly into the home. We work directly with you to coordinate throughout the build.
