The people behind Texas Shade

Shade is all we do, and we've done it across Dallas-Fort Worth since 2012. Every shade is designed by our patio consultants and installed by our own certified crew.

Since 2012, and only shade

We design and install custom motorized shades and awnings for patios, porches, windows and doors, made in the USA and built to each opening. We don't build kitchens, pergolas or patio covers. We do shade, and we'd like to keep it that way.

We've been shading DFW patios since 2012, and we plan to be the ones who answer when you call about your shades years from now. It's a fair question to ask any company how long they've been around.

How we work

We're here to educate, not to hard sell, so you know what happens at every step.

  1. We start with what you want

A patio consultant asks how you use the space and what you want it to feel like before anyone talks product.

  2. We visit, measure and take photos

Your patio consultant looks at the space and takes the measurements. Like everyone on our team, they are certified in installation and product.

  3. You get a design and a quote

Most quotes go out the same day, often with a rendering, and there's no pressure to sign on the spot.

  4. Our own crew installs it

Our in-house certified crew does the install, and most installs on an existing patio are finished in one day. Our 10-year warranty and service stay with you afterward.

    What our warranty covers

Customers often tell us we took our time and didn't push, and that's exactly how we like to work.

Who you'll work with

Many of us came from other shade companies, and some of us started as installers and moved into project management. Every Monday the team gets together, and someone shares a win or a story from the week.

Without a good install crew, the best shade in the world won't work right, so our own crew does the installing.

Aaron, Lance, Ethan and Andres, from our install crew.

We measure and set our installs to within an eighth of an inch, because if we're off by more, the shade won't close right.
